Amao’s lifelong fascination with Turkiye began over a decade ago. It wasn't just the architecture that captivated him, but the warmth of the people and the melodic pace of the Aegean coast.
Since 2013, he has immersed himself in local life, transforming from a visitor into a respected storyteller within the travel community.He recognized that modern travelers seek depth rather than data. They want an advocate who can navigate the nuances of the destination while prioritizing the traveler’s comfort.
This philosophy is the heartbeat of DWO Journey.
Amao is personally involved in every trip, ensuring that the integrity of the experience remains intact and that every guest feels like a friend rather than a client.
She is the planner behind DWO Journey, turning ideas into execution. She advocates positive daily routine changes and cross-cultural experience, designing journeys that foster curiosity and authentic local connections.
Her outlook on travel grew from childhood family trips and years of work travel across Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and the US. These experiences shaped her interest to be a seasoned traveller and observe how people live, move, and build daily routines, especially in parts un-explored such as the Mediterranean countries.
After visiting Türkiye in 2018, she chose it as the starting point of her travel studio, drawn to its people, art, and lively coastal cities.
Trip packages sell places, we design experiences. We kept seeing travellers arrive in Turkey with great plans, but leave with quiet dissappointments. Not because the place failed, but because the journey was designed as a package, not for people.
As founders based in Malaysia, shaped by multi-cultural living and modern city pace, we understand changing expectations, fatigue, and the need for comfort.
